More info

This month is linked with the Hebrew letter Kuf which can mean masquerade or mask. The constellation of the month is Pisces – the Fishes. The tribe of Naphtali is associated with the month of Adar. The color/stone for the month is Purple/Amethyst. The feast of Purim is in this month.

This is seen as a month of joy. Naphtali means “sweetness is to me”. This is a month to celebrate the overturning of evil. The feast of Purim celebrates the overturning of Haman’s plot to destroy the Jewish people. The letter of the month Kuf, is also seen in the story of Esther in that G-d hid His face from His children Israel. While His name does not appear directly in the text of Esther it is hidden in the text.
