This month is linked with the Hebrew letter Vav meaning connecton or linking. The constellation of the month is Taurus – the Bull. The tribe of Issachar is linked with the month of Iyar. The color/stone for the month is Royal Blue/Lapis.

This is the second month and is often called Ziv, meaning “radiance”. It is also thought of as the month of healing as it’s name is an acronym for “I AM G-d your Healer”(Exodus 15:26). Issachar who is associated with this month is known for understanding the times. This is the month linking Passover to First Fruits/Pentecost in the next month so it is a month of connection.
